About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

My wife is a citizen of P.R.C. I wish to also register our marriage in China. Can I do it in Singapore ? Do I need to apply VISA if I wish to visit China with my wife and can I reside in China? I'm Singaporean

Mr.Benny, yes, you still need to apply for Chinese visa to enter China if you stay in China for more than 15 days. Married with Chinese citizen doesn't mean that you are automatically entry to China and reside in China. You can stay in China as presribed on the Chinese visa, if you still want to stay, you can go to the local exit & enter department to apply for temporary residence permit or extend your stay duration. If you find a job in China, then you can apply for temporary residence permit under the help of your employer, the temporary residence permit is generally valid for 1 year, if your marriage can last for 5 years, and you stay in China for 5 years continuousely and not less than 9 months each year, then you can apply for permanent residence permit.
