About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hi,

I am going to fly from Hong Kong to Shanghai in order to catch a flight to Vancouver from Shanghai. Do I need to pick up my luggage first in Shanghai and then check in again? I am flying via two different airlines, first Dragon Air and then Air Canada.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Usually, you have to collect the baggage and then re-check it at the counter of Air Canada. However, after you collect the baggage, you don't have to go through immigration and customs, just please go to the Transfer Area to find the counter of Air Canada. The whole procedure will take you about 30~50 minutes at most.
