I got an employment visa to Dubai. I decided to fly to HKG last week and take another flight to Dubai a few hours after. But when I got to HKG the immigration had me detained at the airport for 13hrs and didn't let me get through the immigration. They issued me a paper "refused to land". And they sent me home immediately. It was not explained to me further what's the reason why i was detained when I am not staying long in Hongkong. Now, I am completely lost. I don't know what's my next step since I still have my ticket for HKG-Dubai trip. I can have it rebooked to another date but i can't have it re-routed. The only way I can use my Dubai ticket is to travel again to Hongkong. Pls. help me, can I still go to Hongkong and fly to Dubai from there? I don't intend to stay long in HKG. I am only there to get my Dubai trip.do i still have to go through the HKG immigration since I don't really intend to go out of the airport, or is there another section/dept. at the airport where I am supposed to be at and wait for my next scheduled flight to Dubai? pls help me ASAP. I would appreciate your assistance on this.
