About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

I am Malaysian and currently holding a student visa which going to expire on 10/March/2010, Presently, I am staying in Shanghai , but tomorrow I need to leave China to Budapest(Europe) for a urgent matter without have time to renew my student visa first. My question is , when I back to Shanghai let say on 11/March/2010, could I apply a 'travel visa on arrival' first at entry port of Shanghai? (I will renew my student visa after enter into china.)

you can't apply for a travel visa on arrival at the entry port of Shanghai, please obtain Chinese visa before entering Mainland China.
