About:Lantau Island

hi
I would be arriving at Hongkong on 14th March and wish to visit Lantau Island straight from the airport.

My queries are
1. Where do i keep my luggages
2. Which the best and cheapest mode to reach Lantau Island or the fastest way
3. What are the fares for taxi and enterance ticket to the Island
4. How do i proceed from the Island to Causeway bag

Are you going there to visit Giant Buddha and experience Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car?

If you go there from the airport, you may take S1 airport shuttle bus to Tung Chung and then go to Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal to experience Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car. After reaching Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car Terminal, you just need walk several minutes to visit Giant Buddha. By they way, you can deposit your luggage at Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal.

Here is another cheap way: Take S1 airport shuttle bus to Tung Chung and then go to Tung Chung Bus Station to take No.23 bus to Ngong Ping. S1 ticket fare is HK $3.5 and No.23 bus costs around HK$ 17.2.

From the island to Causeway Bay, you may get back to Tung Chung by either cable car or No.23 bus. Then go to Tung Chung MTR Station to take Tung Chung Line to Hong Kong MTR Station. Then walk to Central MTR Station to take MTR to Causeway Bay.
