About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hello. I am a Malaysian passport holder. I have a trip from Detroit to Singapore, and I need to transit at Pudong: DTW-PVG-SIN.

1. Do I need a transit visa when I transit at PVG (transit time between the flights is around 5 hours)?
2. Do I have to reclaim my baggage and check-in again when I transit at PVG?
3. Are Delta Airlines and China Eastern located in the same terminal?
4. Do I need to pass through the passport control/immigration when I transit at PVG?

Additonal Info:
DTW-PVG (using Delta Airlines) and PVG-SIN (using China Eastern)

Thank you!

Do not need a transit visa at PVG.
That depends. If the airlines offer the service, you can avoid check-in again. China Eastern Airlines offer this service for its connecting flights. It seems your flights are og two airlines.
The two airlines are located in different terminals.
You may need to pass immigration.
Hope this helps.
