A bank certificate is included in the requirements for Chinese visa application. what does this mean? my sister and I who are both traveling to China already have bank accounts but we are both still dependent to our parents since we are still teenagers. Do we still have to submit this?

Ms. PaulaT, is it the first time for you to visit China? For first time applicants to China (Philippine passport holders, 18 years old and above), they are required to provide the following:
original bank certificate with receipt or original passbook, updated within the month that you are applying. You can use your parents' bank certificate if you don't have one.

Ms. Paula,

If your parent/s are residents or atleast holding a resident visa in China, you don't need a bank statement unless you have:

1) Copy (xerox) of your parent/s Foreign expert certificate and you affixed in it as an accompanying family member.

2) Certification of your parent/s work from the employer. Please state how much is the month salary and the address.

3) An Invitation letter from your parent/s' employer that they allow you to come on stated date.

I got my daughter a Z visa without any hassle( no medical exam needed) by providing those three documents only.
