About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

I am an American living in Seoul with over just over a year left on my Korean visa. I would like to visit China in February and then again in August. I might want to hop over randomly at other times over long weekends for fun.

Is it possible for me to get a multiple entry year visa to China?

Thanks!

you can have a try to apply for a multiple entry visa in Seoul, it is not easy to get it. You have to apply for Chinese visa through a travel agency authorized by Chinese embassy in seoul.
