About:Traditional Festivals in China

I only found out now that my holiday in Beijing will coincide with the National Day 7-days public holidays. Do the shops/ markets, restaurants and sights open? Will there be a lot of local tourists in Beijing?

Do you refer to Chinese Lunar New Year Holiday? The shops and sights are open. But some small restaurants and markets might be closed during that time. The local tourists might go out to visit some attractions. But I don’t think there will be plenty of people.
