hi, im 15, and i would just like to say that i dont think that the dam is a good idea. I say this because even though it will control flooding and create a clear passage, the silt that would flow down the river naturally will be forced to build up against the dam and artificial lakes creating an unattractive mess. Also, the towns and cities that would be flooded include a lot of factories, works and waste area which will all get swept into the river - polluting it. :) just thought id express my view whilst revising!
