About:Chinese Paper-Cut

My frideds in China sent me some paper cuttings a couple of days ago. They look great. I heard that chinese people put paper cutting on the window at Spring Festival. Does that mean anything? I am considering putting up on some on my window, lol.

It is said that to put up paper cutting on window was originally to drive evil beast, just like firecrackers and couplet. But later it is taken just as a mean of celebration.
