About:China Visa on Arrival

I am Australian passport holder, arriving in Hongkong next week and intending to visit Shenzhen for <5 days.

I understand I can apply for visa at HK-China border. However, searching the Web I found conflicting information regarding fees and payment. Some quote HK$ while others mention it has to be paid in Yuan.

Can anyone please tell me the current situation the cost and the currency for a 5 day visa?

Thanks for your attention.

At the Fu Yong Ferry terminal in Shenzhen, there is a small office outside the immigration hall where I buy a Visa for China, this is only a single entry Visa and is only valid for one week. (100 HK$). No photo is needed.
