About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

A friend of mine (a Philippine Passport) just applied today for China Tourist Visa in Singapore, IT WAS DISSAPPROVED. The tickets had been bought (as per Agents requirements) and hotel had been booked. Any how it was just dissaproved although this would be her second time to come to China.

We had planned this vacation a for long time and just imagine the amount already spent.

What is wrong with this? Is there any changes on their guidlines? What should be done to get it approved?

Any reply would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi!
The same thing happened to me last November'09. As a requirement, I booked a ticket from SQ as well as Hotel Resevations. But since China Embassy in Singapore ban us Filipinos in entering their country, my visa was also rejected. I also tried sending my documents to CHina Embassy Philippines but they said, round trip ticket should be from Phil-China-Phil. I came back to China Embassy in Singapore to ask what to do and they said they can issue a Business Visa to me but I have to provide an Invitation from China Government. I wasted around S$1,500 just for this trip and ended up with all disappointments. I hope Philippine Government should do something about this because we are the one whos suffering.

If you are a Philippine passport holder, you can still apply for China tourist visa in Singapore provided that you are a Singapore PR. If you carry an employment pass (s-pass, e-pass), make sure it is valid for more than 6 months. Any proof of residence in Singapore is enough to qualify you to apply, but you still need to push your luck with the visa officer as they can come out with thousands of reason to shove back the application form to you. But one thing is for sure, if you are a tourist in SG, you can't apply China visa here.
