About:Hong Kong Travel Tips

hi! me and my friends will be visiting HK for 2 days and 1 day trip in MACAU. What is the cheapest transportation we could take if we will go to these places : BUDDHA -DISNEYLAND - THE PEAK - WAX MUSEUM - OCEAN PARK? Is it possible to visit these places in two days? because we dont have enough time. By the way, we are staying in kowloon area. On our travel to macau, where can we buy ferry tickets? is it cheap to tour macau by taxi? our itinerary are as follows : Ruins of st. paul, senado square, macau museum, macau tower, venetian hotel.

many thanks!

I don't think you will have enough time to visit all of the places of Hong Kong in 2 two days. Firstly, it will take you a whole day to play in the Disneyland. So, maybe you have to give the Buddha. Here are my suggested itinerary:
Day1: please take the metro from Kowloon to arrive at Disneyland directly, and vice versa.
Day2: please take the metro from Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon to Admiralty in the morning. At the Exit B, you could take the bus 629 to reach the Ocean Park. In the afternoon around 16:00, you could take the same bus return to Admiralty, and then you could walk to the Victorial Peak. The Wax Museum is just on it!

Only helicopter and ferry are supplied to shuttle between Hong Kong and Macau currently. You could purchase the ferry tickets in advance online. Here is the official website: http://www.turbojet.com.hk/eng/home/index.asp

Yes, it is reasonable for you to take a cab around Macau. On the other hand, you could use these hotels' free bus as much as possible. The info could be found on their official website.

thanks john! A MRT ride to disneyland would cost us how many HKD? i have read a lot about getting around HK and some are suggesting that it is much cheaper to ride a ferry than MRT in going to OCEAN PARK. Is this true?? could a spared dollars affect the riding convenience? One more thing, john... is it much cheaper if we ride a cab from the airport to our hotel in kowloon than riding in AiRport Express?? we are 7 in the group. probably we can take two cabs. Really appreciated ur help... we will be traveling there this coming January 27,2010.

1. for the metro fare, you could use the search tool on its official website: http://www.mtr.com.hk/jplanner/eng/planner_index.php
2. As I know, there is no ferry could take you to the Ocean Park directly. Yes, it is cheaper to take a ferry from Tsim Sha Tsui to Central, where you could walk to Admiralty to take the 629 bus. However, this is much complicated I think~
3. If you take a cab to Kowloon from the airport, the fare should be around HKD250~300/cab. Resonable choice~
