About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

Hi,
I am working in Singapore with a valid S-pass. I have read in some thread here that Philippine passport holders cannot apply for a China tourist visa in Singapore. But I phoned the consulate off-office hotline and the answering machine had confirmed that I can apply in Singapore as long as I have a work pass in Singapore. Is this true? I need to attend a friend's wedding in GuangZhou and I am set to fly next week. Hope you can help to advise. Thanks!

Hi Ms. Zhang,

In my case, I was rejected last Nov 09. You can try to apply though and please let us know if they are giving Filipinos a Tourist Visa already. Thanks!

Filipinos are difficult to get a Chinese visa in Singapore, I guess that you have to return to Philippines to apply for it, the requirements for Filipinos are different from other nationalities. I think that the answering machine has updated their information.

Hi,
Any news if Filipinos can already apply visa here in Singapore? It will really be a hassle to go back and forth just to get a visa and also it is a hassle if the place in china have no direct flight from Manila and only has flights leaving in Singapore.
