About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hello,

I am Swedish and will be changing plane in Shanghai. I will be arriving with Cebu pacific and transfer to Finnair. Cebu pacific will only be able to check me in to Shanghai which mean I have to pick up my bag and check in again. I wonder if i need a visa for that. If I dont, what will I do? Will I just go through the visa check and show my ticket for my next flight?
My flight with Finnair is 10h later.

With Regards
Elin Andersson

No China visa is required. When you arrive at Shanghai, please collect your baggages and then go through the customs and immigration along with other arrival passengers. Here, you should tell the staff your situation and show your valid flight ticket to your next journey. Then, you could go to the departure hall to re-check in.

Thank you very much for your answer. I have just one further question. Will it with that kind of agreement be possible to stay at the Motel 168 or am I not allowed to leave the airport building?
