About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

I am an American citizen who is leaving in 7 days to go to South Korea to teach. I would like to tour China while I am there. I do not have time to get a tourist visa in the US before I leave. Am I able to go to the Chinese embasy in Seoul and acquire a tourist visa to China?
