About:China Transit Visa

I am a Canadian Citizen and will be traveling through Beijing and Hong Kong en route to the Philippines in two weeks. I am flying direct from Toronto to Beijing. As it is scheduled at the moment, I will have a 4 day layover in Beijing, catching my destination flight out of Hong Kong to Manila (via Philippine Airlines). Then my return will be Manila to Beijing, then direct Beijing to Toronto. Will I require a visa? I have no time to get a visa now at the embassy as the embassies are closed for the holidays. Can I get a visa at the Beijing airport and Hong Kong airport? please advice if I need to change my flight.

You don't need a visa. Canadian citizens are exempt from a visa to Hong Kong for up to 90 days, the stopover in beijing airport is less than 24 hours and you don't leave the airport, it is free of visa.
