About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

I have a friend living in China. She wants me to visit her for six months. I am thinking of getting a 6-month visa but I am not Chinese, (Born of Britain), and I am not married to anyone Chinese, nor a son of Chinese citizen.

So I am guessing it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get visa for that long?

Which visa I am able to get? 30 days?

Much appreciated!

I think that you can't get a double-entry tourist visa with 6 months validity, but you can have a try, please write your planned 6 months stay in China on the Visa Application Form of People's Republic of China. The final decision is up to the judge of visa officers, I guess that you will get a single entry visa with 3 months validity, permitting 30 days stay in China.
