About:Forbidden City

Hi All,

I will be arriving the Airport 7.20 am Sunday. I am there for a week business trip. So, i will really want to take this opportunity to go to the Forbidden City.

I will be staying Hilton Hotel in Chaoyang District. Can anyone guide me from there? How long will it take me to go to the forbidden city and what are the "not to be miss" place in the Forbidden City and what other attractions surrounding the area?

The most convenient way is to take taxi. The total length of the journey is about 8.7km and cost CNY20. You can also take subway and bus to get from Hilton Hotel to the Forbidden City but you have to walk and transfer.
If you have no much time, you can follow the central axis of the Forbidden City, which are touristy and also not to be missed.
Jingshan Park is next to the north gate of the Forbidden City, with walking distance. Beihai Park is also around. To the south gate of the city is the Tiananmen Square.
