About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hi! My friends (Russia) flight from Moscow to Manila(Phillipines).
In Shanghai Pudong Airport they have to make air transit, wait for 5 hours.
Does they need in visa to leave airport?

Do not need a visa within 24 hours' stay. So, do not worry about that.
