About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I am a US citizen, but will be going to France immediately before going on a trip to China. Can I apply for a Chinese tourist visa from the Paris consulate?

You can have a try, but the certainty is not 100%. You'd better get a Chinese visa in USA
