About:Shanghai Pudong Airport

Hi there,

My family will be on transit at Pudong airport T1 en route to Los Angeles. We are due to arrive Shanghai at 6.10 a.m by China Esatern Airlines and will depart again at 2.30 p.m.

Are we allowed to go to T2 for some fast food like Mc Donalds? if yes, how do we go from T1 - is there a walkway from T1 to T2?

Do we have to collect our baggages and re-check-in again for our onward journey to Los Angeles?

Thank you.

Yes, you can walk from T1 to T2, about 15-20 minutes. There are free shuttle bus between them and you can use them too. I am afraid you should re-check-in and have your lugguage collected during the transit.

Thank you Mr Jamie.

As per norm, transit passengers do not need to pay any departure fees for re-check-in less than 24 hours from arrival time in the transit city. In this regard, do we have to pay any fees upon re-check in of the luggages for our onward flight at Pudong T1 check-in counter?

Awaiting your soonest reply. thank you again.

No, you don't have to pay for any tax at Pudong Airport. All of the required fee has been included in your air ticket when you purchase it.
