Can you please advise whether I can take train from Dongguan to Xiamen without going to Dongguan.  If not, whether there is any good place to stopover during my journey from Guangzhou to Xiamen. I also would like to travel to Xiamen to Hangzhou but noticed that the train goes to Shanghai south.  How far is the place from Shanghai south to Hangzhou (air asia terminal). Any suggestions where to bring journey

I found only one train from Guangzhou to Xiamen, it has 13 stops in between and the second stop is Dongguan. For your second question, yes, the train K198 will go to Shanghai station, but it stops at Hangzhou. You can get off at Hangzhou station. Note that the train only stops for several minutes at Hangzhou station, you may ask someone to help you and remind you when to get off. Usually, i will ask my chinese friend to write a note for me, and i can get help from the staff on the train. Good Luck for you!
