About:

I'm going to meet with a friend in Hangzhou, but I will be flying into Shanghai first. I don't speak Chinese and this is my first trip to China. I'm a bit nervous. How should I go about getting to Hangzhou immediately?

I guess you will arrive at Shanghai Pudong Airport, right? If so, at the long-distance bus station of the airport, you could catch a bus to Hangzhou directly. See the details at https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/shanghai/transportation/airport-shuttle-bus.htm

Tips: at Pudong Airport, there are many clear signs in English to guide you to the bus station.

Thanks! Is it true that sometimes the train gets so busy that you are can get kicked off? I was told that even if you have a ticket, it's not guaranteed. Or are these just untrue horror stories? :)

If you have a train ticket, you are sure to board on the train, especially at a prior position if you have a soft-sleeper ticket or a bullet train ticket. Please take it easy!

Some unhappy situation may happen during the Chinese Spring Festival, when there are millions of passengers will use the rail to go home. So, it is suggested that travelers escape from the festival or take flights for instead.

Hi, I guess you post the question in wrong place and I first not understand very clearly. :-) It is about Hangzhou East Railway Station, right. Yes, it is a bit far from the scenic attractions. yes, you can find taxi there at that time. If it is not easy, walk a few meters to get close to the main street and find one.
