Hi, I and 5 of family members plan to go to Guangzhou on 18th to 22nd December 2009. Appreciate if you can advice which economical hotel apartment is near to shopping complex and train station as I plan to take a train for one day trip to Hong Kong. As I dont know the hotel condition, is it ok if I book hotel for 2 night  now and make decision to book other hotel when I reach Guangzhou? Is there any chances that the hotel in Guangzhou is fully book? Thanks for the advice.

The major hotels in Guangzhou is likely to be full and offer no discounts in April or October when the main trade affairs are on or in July and August when tour groups swarm into the city. However, you can expect to cut 20% to 40% from the prices quoted as rates drop in December. Check Globelink Hotel (Quanqiu Tong Dajiudian) to see if you are satisfied with it.Good luck!
