Hi,
My husband and I will be visiting HK for the 1st time with our 2y.o. daughter. We have listed a couple of places we intend to visit but not sure if we can fit it all in just 3 days, maybe we need to skip some of it. Will be staying at Metropark Hotel in Kowloon, ETA 7PM Dec. 4 (Fri) and ETD 10AM Dec. 8 (Tue).
The following are the places we intend to visit but having hard time to decide which to visit first, the best time to visit or which not that important to see and how long should we spend in each place.
1. Lantau Island
1.A Nong Ping 360/Giant Buddha
1.B Ma Wan Park Noah's Ark
1.C Disneyland
Q: Aside from Disney, does Nong Ping and Noah's Ark needs a whole day to
visit? We intend to visit Noah's and Nongping on Saturday and Disney on
Monday as we are assuming that Disney will be too crowded on weekends,
any suggestions/advise?
2. HK Island
2.A The Peak
2.B Ocean Park
2.C Jumbo Kingdom
Q: Is it better to visit the peak in the morning or late afternoon? Is it
advisable to visit Ocean Park on a cold December w/t a 2 y.o? How
expensive are the restaurants in Jumbo Kingdom?
3. Kowloon
3.A Ladies Market & Temple Street
3.B Symphony of Lights
3.C 1881 Heritage
Q. Is it safe to bring a 2 y.o around Ladies Market and Temple Street? Is it
really better to ride the Ferry to get a good vantage point during the
Symphony of Lights or staying in the Avenue of Stars is fine just the
same.
4. Which is a must see on the list for shopping interms of ambiance, value and
safety issues? I've read in various forums too stay away as much as possible
from shopping centers in Mongkok and Tsim Sha Tsui areas.
- Harbour City
- Langham Place
- New World Center
- The Peak Galleria
- Times Square
- City Gate Outlets
5. How cold is HK during early Dec? What clothes should we bring?
Replies and Suggestions are very much appreciated. :)
