About:Chinese Consulate in Perth

Hello,
I am going to attend an international conference held in Hong Kong on 28th of November, 2009 with my wife. I purchased an air ticket for her and applied for tourist visa on 4th of November at Perth office. Still, we have not got any response from the visa office. Would you please advice me what I have to do next to get a visa for her before 28th of November? Thanks in advance.

You can call the Chinese consulate in Perth to enquire the status of the visa application, if nobody pick up the telephone aftter many calls, you'd better go to the consulate in person. I know that some Hong Kong application need get the approval of Immigration department of HKSAR government, so it will takes 4 weeks.
