HI! I have a layover in Beijing on January 6th from 5:30am and my flight leaves at 9pm. What is the fastest way to get to the Forbidden City? I can't be in China for a full day and not go see it! Any help or advice would be much appreciated, since I only have one day! Also, is there an official website for it that lists times open and such? Thanks!Randall

Hello, ParsonsYou can take subway. First take Airport Express to Dongzhimen and then transfer to subway line 2 from Dongzhimen to Jianguomen and at last take subway line 1 from Jianguomen to Tian'anmen East. Get out of the subway and Forbidden City is around. This website has detailed information about the time, ticket of the Forbidden City, so you just need to read through it. Good day!
