hi, i'm visiting haikou with family next january.

Question

Hi, i'm visiting Haikou with family next January. Unfortunately, I have only 3days 2nights there but I would still like to visit Sanya as well. May anyone advise me how to get to Sanya from Haikou using the most economical way? FYI, there will be min 4 of us. And, how long the journey takes?

Actually Sanya is more appealing than Haikou. Why do you choose to stay in Haikou?

Hello Ms. Kho,The cost of living is Cheaper in Haikou as compared to Sanya,no doubt the beaches of sanya are far better.Another difference is that most tourist spots in sanya are paid , you need to buy tickets however in haikou from beach to evergreen park there is no ticket...free entry!!!*no wonder if you can't met any English speaking taxi driver or airport official.Here is some information which may be of your use...*4 STAR HOTEL IS AVAILABLE AROUND 400RMB(50-60USD)/DAY.ECONOMICAL HOTEL IS AROUND 80-100 RMB(14-15 usd)/day*mc donalds and kfc everywhere,Indian-Pakistan style food  also available.special food attraction is seafood.*local travel taxi starting with 10 RMB(1.5 usd)*local public transport bus(air conditioned) 1 RMB only(0.15usd) with in city to a max of 5 RMB.*Very few English speaking population,more English speakers in Sanya.*language:local language:hainan hua,and pu tong hua(mandarin/chinese)*major attraction in haikou:Evergreen parkHoliday beachboao Major market:ming zhu square,jie feng zhi,fu zhen etc*Supermarkets:Carrefour and Rt-mart,No walmart in haikou*Hospitals:hainan medical college affiliated hospital at long hua road,hainan provincial hospital at jiefengshi square,haikou city hospital at Haitian dao ...*nightlife:disco,bar,pubs all there...For any more assistance  write to me hotmail.com|travel.hainan
