About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

Hello,

Great that I come across this site. I have an issue here. My friend from Guangzhou is going to Malaysia and Thailand for a visit. She has prepared all her air tickets and visa. But her passport is going to expired on 30th June 2010. Though it is still valid upon arrival, but will the officer allow her to stay until 15th Jan 2010? She is supposed to renew her passport in Guangzhou these few days but has to put a halt to it because she is down with acute flu. According to her, renewal procedure there needs 1 month and she is afraid she cannot collect it in time.

Here are her travel details -
17th December 2009 arriving KL, Malaysia
15th January 2010 departing to Bangkok, Thailand
18th January 2010 departing to Guangzhou, China

Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day.

Regards,
Ethal Wu

Thanks Ms Candace. What is your advice for this trip? Abandon the whole holiday? Or renew her passport in Malaysia?

I think she won't need to renew her passport for the whole trip.
