About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

I'm going to Shanghai on a school trip in December, and some of us plan to extend our stay there such that it's longer than 15 days. Do we have to apply for a tourist visa at the Chinese embassy in Singapore? Also, if we do, do we have to do it in person, or can one representative do it?

You have to apply for a China visa in Singapore, and you can just send a representative to process the visa for you all.
