About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

I am currently unemployed and just meeting friends in China for a 2 week backpacking trip (no fixed places to stay at, will just be buying train tickets and hopping from city to city). Is it likely I will get a visa as a Canadian citizen or might they deny me because I don't know many details about the trip except for when I will arrive and depart? I also don't have any contact information for anyone in China.

If you don't have fixed itinerary and fixed destination. I think it's impossible for you to apply for a visa.
