About:How to Buy Tickets

Hi,

I would like to travel from Shanghai railway Station to Suzhou from the follwing dates:

23 Nov - ShangHai TO SuZhou (JiangSu)
25 Nov - SuZhou TO ShangHai

I understand that the tickets are available only 9 days ahead of the departure dates if we buy direct from the main station. But is the train schedule for each train the same everyday? Because I would like to know what is the earliest train departuring from ShangHai to Suzhou so that I can plan my itinerary. From what i see, there seems to be only one train to Suzhou(JiangSu)at 10:21am.

Are we able to buy the return ticket from Suzhou at the same time when purchasing the departure ticket at Shanghai?

Also, it will be helpful if we can know how much it cost for a "soft seat" ticket. Thank you

regards,
Gek

Yes, the train schedule is the same everyday. The earliest train from Shanghai to Suzhou is suggest you take is D5478/D5479, depart at 08:01 and arrive at 08:42. The soft seat fare is CNY31.00. And yes, you can buy round-trip tickets at Shanghai or Suzhou railway station.

Dear Mr Louis,

Thank you for your reply. May I know you got the train details from this website too or other website? What is the web address?

The price you quote was for one way right? Thanks.

regards,
Gek
