About:Shanghai Long-Distance Bus

Hi, what is the best way to get from Pudong Intl Airport to Qidong,in Jiangsu province? My flight arrival is 1750 on 11/29. If by long-distance bus, what times do they leave, and how long is the journey? Would it be possible to arrive the same day? Perhaps hiring a car with driver would be a better option - if so, how would I go about this?

The best way is: use airport Bus Line 5 to Shanghai Railway Station and take a taxi to Hutai Rd long-distance Bus Station. It has the latest buses to Qidong leaving at 19:00. It takes 2 hours or so to Qidong. Take a taxi from Pudong Airport to Nantong will cost about 900RMB and more to Qidong. It is not a wise choice if you mustn't be there at the same day. Take a taxi from Pudong directly to the bus station may cost 170RMB.

Thanks, can you also tell me what other times this service runs? I may need to change my flight and arrive earlier, I sure won't make that last bus!

Hi, Iain. There are bus routes from Hutai Road Bus Station or Shanghai Long-distance Bus Terminus nearby Shanghai Train Station. There is one bus leavinf every less than an hour from 5:40-19:00. Last bus at Shanghai Long-distance Bus Terminus is at 18:30. No problem for you to take the bus if you come there earlier.
