About:Shanghai Maglev Train

Hi, my friend and I caught a taxi from our Pudong Hotel (Purple Mountain Hotel) to the Maglev Train station mid morning Monday 27th July, but our taxi driver said the Maglev train wasn't working, and subsequently took us all the way to Pudong International Airport. We saw the Maglev pull out of the airport when we arrived! I have sent an email to the Maglev management to verify whether the train was actually working or not - but have had no reply. Is there another way to check whether the Maglev was operational on that day? If it was indeed running on schedule, then we got scammed by the taxi driver - and we think he took us the long way too! I have the receipt from the taxi showing the date/time and distance travelled, and more importantly, the driver number. Not good practice - especially when the Expo is very soon and there will be many visitors.
Thankyou, and regards - Dean
ps - A pity the total solar eclipse was clouded out on Yangshan Island, but at least it didn't rain there during totality! We still had a great time in Shanghai!

Firstly, my sincere apologies of what that taxi driver has done to you and your friends. The maglev train should be operating everyday at time interval shown to you above (leaving Longyang Rd. Station from 6:45 to 21:30). I am truly glad that you’ve had a great time in Shanghai! Hope to see you in Shanghai for the 2010 World Expo.
