Dear Mr. Jamie,

We would like to travel by D train at night from Shanghai to Guangzhou starting monday 26 th of october in the evening. Could you please give us a traveladvise ? (if there is no D train , the quickest otherone)

No D trains, Mr evers. The fatest shoudl be T99 leaving from Shanghai Railway Station at 18:24 and arrive in Guangzhou East Railway station at 10:17 (Nearly 16 hours). Hope it helps.

Yes, Mr evers, many trains a day run from Shanghai to Hangzhou, including buller trains. Shanghai SOuth Railway Station has more trains.
