I went to Chinese Embassy this morning. I was told that since I'm a Philippine passport holder, I need to go to the Philippines to process my Visa application. They said they implemented this since September of this year. I asked why, but they did not provide me any reason. Whether you go there for a day, a business trip and whether or not you're a PR, so as long as you hold a Philippine passport, you need to go home to the Philippines for the processing. The personnel I spoke to was so rude. That was very disappointing."Just go home to the Philippines." Just like that? That's a very frustrating gesture! My friend who would travel to China with me, who is in the Philippines was asked to provide a lot of additional requirements to get the Visa. Like me, she has gave it up since we were only informed of the requirements posted on the website. This is totally a very frustrating experience. We only would want see Shenzhen for 1 day but it turned out we won't be able to. I think the site needs to be updated about the new process. I'm not sure about other nationalities. If it's only us, that's unacceptable. They should revise the process to cater different options. It would be a consolation if the personnel whom I talked to was nice but their rudeness added to my frustration.
