About:Shanghai Cruise Ports

We are cruising on the volendam Holland America Line into Shanghai on November 5 staying there overnight leaving late on November 6 2009. I assume it will be ShanghaiPort International Cruise Terminal, but I am having trouble finding out. It it is this Port, can we get into the city easily, eg taxi's available and approximate cost, or buses (is language a problem. Would we be able to pick up day tours of the must sees in and around shanghai once we are on land without wasting too much of a limited time

Well, the port is just located in the prosperous area of Shanghai, very close to the Nanjing Road. So, you could hire a taxi driving to other places easily with reasonable cost. Well, I think you could do some travel around the port, such as the Nanjing Road->the people's square and then the Oriental Pearl Tower.

My husband and I will also be on the Volendam at the same time. Did you find out where it will berth? We are reluctant to book excursions through Holland America as they can be a lot more expensive than getting something when you arrive.
