Do you mean day trip? one day only? If so, I suggest you visit a water town near Shanghai, such as Zhouzhuang, Tongli, Wuzhen, Nanxun... lots of water towns. If you do want to visit suzhou, it's also feasible but very tight schedule. Usually the hotel can deal these short day tours. If not, they can also advise you the right place for booking.
