About:Hong Kong International Airport

hi, i am traveling to vietnam, layover in hong kong, are there any issues with tourists being stopped for swine flu checks? i was told not to go because of the 3 day hospital stay that could happen when we land in vietnam, maybe this is a rumor?

Upon arrival into Hong Kong, you are required to fill out a declaration card regarding your health. It includes question such as where you have travelled in the last 7 days and whether you have had flu symptoms.
Your temperature is also checked using scanners.

If you are just in transit and don't enter the country, I am not sure if you are still required to fill out the form.
