About:Imperial Garden

I am going to arrive to Hangzhou Airport in the evening and I would like to travel to Huang Shan the next mornig. Could you tell me what time the first bus leaves to Huang Shan and from which bus station?

Will you go to Huangshan City or Mt. Huangshan Scenic Area? At the Hangzhou West Bus Station, the first bus leaving for Huangshan City at 06:50. And, the first bus leaving for Mt. Huangshan at 08:00. BTW, there is a bus leaving from Hangzhou Transport Center (at Hangzhou Railway Station) to Mt. Huangshan at 09:20 everyday.

I do not understand. Huangshan City is not 1 hour drive from Mt. Huangshan? I thought if take the bus at 6:50 in Hangzhou I am going to arrive to Huangshan City and from there I can take a mini bus to Mt. Huangshan Scenic area. Is it true?

Yes, Mrs Jolan. Huangshan city is one hour from Mt Huangshan. I　mean there are direct bus to Mt Huangshan. You do not need to change another bus to the mountain from Huangshan City then.

Could you tell me what time the 6:50 bus is going to arrive to Huangshan City? Some guide books say that it takes 3 hours to get from Hangzhou to Huangshan City but others say it takes 5 hours?

Hi, Hangzhou to Huangshan City, it is about 3 hours.
Huangshan City to Mt. Huangshan: more or less one hour
Hangzhou to Mt. Huangshan: 5 hours

Mr. Shan,

Thank you for the valuable infromation. It helped a lot. Presently I am in Yangshou. Is it possible to buy the tickets in advance for the 6:50 bus that goes from Hangzhou to Huangshan City ? Is there a CITS office in Yangshou?

Usually, the bus ticket could be purchased 5 days in advance. But, the bus station may change the policy during some peak-travel season or holiday.
