About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

I am working here in Malaysia and I am planning to go next year for a vacation trip around Jan-Feb. 2010 my concerns are:

a. If I will apply on October, how long is the validity of visa for Single Entry?
b. Is it compulsory to show a round trip ticket? Because now a days a lot of promotion in vairous Airlines and as a taveller we are looking for a cheaper fare.

Please kindly advise which country you will go? Different countries may have different visa policies.

Am planning to go to China specificially in Beijing and Hong Kong.

Malaysian passport holders are free of visa to Hk for 90 days, while you need a visa for your trip to Beijing.
a. A single entry Chian tourist visa is valid for 3 month, I advise you apply for it about one month before your departure.
b. The round-trip air ticket is necessary when applying the Chian visa now, but the policy changes from time to time.
