My family is planning a short trip to Beijing by staying at the Temple Holiday Inn, any advice for the transport from the Airport to get there? Wonder if it's possible to travel with small luggage on public transfer like Metro / Subway during peak or non-peak hours. Which part of the Great Wall is easier to go with kids? How to get there and how much.  Much appreciate your time for answering these.

Is it the Holiday Inn Temple of Heaven? If so, I think you could hire a taxi from the airport to the hotel directly with kids. The taxi fare is around 100~120RMB. Small luggage is not a problem for taking the subway at anytime. As for great wall, I suggested that you go to Badaling where the kids could take the cable for instead. From the hotel, you could take the subway Line 5 and then transfer to Line 2 to reach Jishuitan station. The fare is CNY2 per person. Out of Jishuitan, please walk eastward to Deshengmen where you could catch the bus 919kuai to reach Badaling directly. The fare is CNY12 per person.
