By train or by bus, whatever you like. you can take a train to Ningbo at Shanghai Railwy Station or Shanghai South Railwqy Station. It takes about 3.5 - 5 hours to get to Ningbo. Or you can take a bus at Shanghai General Long Distance Bus Station, South Long Distance Bus Station, Hengfeng Rd. Bus Station or Xujiahui Bus Station. The Bus takes about 4 hours.
