So are you saying if I transfer through any China airport even though I am not visiting China I have to go through the HIN1 screening. I have heard of travelers being detained for days because of this. Thanks in advance for your help.

Generally speaking, yes. There are infrared ray equippments to monitor passenger's temperature when you passing though. Whose whose temperature is higher (above 37C)will be detained to have further examination.
