Mr. Li:
The point is when dealing with diplomacy there is a concept of reciprocity. If we allow your nationals the courtesy of visiting our embassy, your government is supposed to give us the same courtesy. Apparently this is only understood outside of China as your government treats outsiders rudely and offers no reciprocity. Certainly my interest in visiting China has faded based upon your shoddy treatment of foreigners. As to your comments about how difficult it is for a Chinese citizen to get a visa to the USA, that depends upon the type of visa, etc, as you well know. To respond, your country charges US citizens far more for a visa than they charge citizens of any other nation even though we are your largest trading partner. Second, we allow your citizens at least the chance to visit our embassy and discuss their visa issues, why can't you extend us the same respect? If you do not give our citizens the same respect we give yours, should we not ban your citizens from setting foot in our embassy as well?
