About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Why is it the the Chinese Government will not allow an American to visit their embassy in Seoul, Korea who has concerns about a problematic visa that was issued to him but any Chinese national can visit the US Embassy in Seoul? Where is the reciprocity? Should we ban your nationals from our embassy also?

Mr.Jim, please keep calm, do you see the Notice on changes of individual visa application methods in Consular Section one this website http://kr.china-embassy.org/chn/lsqz/ls_tz/t354827.htm

From September 1st, 2007, the Consular Section of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Korea (ROK) will no longer accept foreigners’ individual applications for Chinese visas of travel, business, study, work, transit and so on. Instead, citizens of ROK and other foreigners in ROK have to apply for Chinese visa (visas to China’s Hong Kong are not included) through travel agencies designated by the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy.

So visit the China embassy in Seoul is a waste of time. In fact, get a Chinese visa for US citizens is much easier than get a US visa for Chinese citizens, so you know how difficult a Chinese get the visa to USA?
