About:

I was told to take a bus at 7:45 from Xitang to Shanghai Train station in order to get my flight from Hongqiao at 14:25. Now Mr. James mentioned also a bus to Shanghai South Bus station - is this better than travelling to the Train station? Is there maybe even a bus from Xitang/Jiashan on Tuesdays leaving for Hongqiao Airport directly? Is it possible to get the bus ticket one day before or only on the day of departure. Thanks for your help!

Shanghai Railway Station seems to be closer to Hongqiao Airport, but there is no direct public transport. If you get to the airport from Shanghai Railway Station, take Bus941. If from South Railway Station, take Subway Line 3 to Yan'an West Road to change Bus 925, or take SUbway Line to Shanghai Stadium to change Bus 938 to Hongqiao. If by taxi, about 35RMB from South Railway Station and 50-60RMB from Shanghai Railway Station.
There is no direct bus between Hongqiao Airport to Jiashan or Xitang. Generally, the bus ticket do not need to buy in advance.:-)
