About:Chinese Consulate in Vancouver

Mr. Yang,

I was born in China and became a Canadian citizen a few years ago. Now I am visiting my husband in San Francisco (no visa for US needed if staying in the US <6 months) and we have an emergency at home in Xinjiang so I need to go back to China ASAP. My question is where I should go to get the visa for China. Do I have to go back to Vancouver to get it? Or can I go to San Francisco consulate to apply for the visa? I got limited time and have called the consulate many times but couldn't reach them. Please let me know the fastest way to get the visa. Thank you very much.

Jane

The Consulate general of China in San Francisco will ask you to provide the original and photocopy of US Green Card,Work Permit,I-20 Form, valid US Visa or other additional documents and then make a decision on whether to issue the visa case by case. So I'm afriad that you have to return to vancouver to apply for it or go to Hong Kong to apply for it
